Valuable Lessons for Children from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

Valuable Lessons for Children from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam is no more among us but the important life lessons which he taught will continue to inspire many generations to come. Here are the valuable lessons which children can learn from him. These lessons will surely help children to excel in life.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam will be always an inspiration of the people of the whole country. He was a man of honour and respect! For the youth of the country, his image was like a ‘people’s president’ that shone brightest above all. He was a man far ahead of his time and he had a bright vision for the youth and progress of the country.
Every Indian heart wept at his death on 27th July 2015. He died at the age of 83 due to cardiac arrest. Commonly known as ‘The Missile Man’, Dr. Kalam was a key man in India’s nuclear and space programs. It is extremely sad that he is not among us, but the quote ‘A good man never dies’ perfectly suites his personality and brilliance. It does not matter, he is among us or not, but his goodness and inspiration will always remain among us. Here are some of the major things that children can learn from Dr. Kalam.

Always Be Ready for Changes

Life is unpredictable! It does not always follow the path as we wish. Make sure you have a plan B when everything is not going as the way you thought. Dr. Kalam always emphasized on having an optimistic approach. But he also believed in having a backup plan to make sure that the progress is not halted by any change.

Be Creative

Dr. Kalam once said ‘Creativity in children leads to a culture of excellence.’ Creativity, innovation and imagination of the children can completely change the future of the country in the right direction.

Have a Vision

‘Human spirit collapses not when it is deprived of food, but when it is denied a dream’. Life is meaningless without having a goal or vision. Dr. Kalam always emphasized on nurturing the vision and then waited for its fruition to reap the rewards. For a child it is a must to have a strong vision that can make sure that he or she has a successful career ahead.

Establish a Connection with People

In the quest of being successful, youth often distance people and start embracing numbers. Researches have proved that people who are more connected with the masses are happier and enjoy a better quality of life than the youth who lives a life of solitary.

Always Be Humble

We all know how successful Dr. Kalam was, but have you ever noticed him being arrogant or proud? No, he was always humble with the people and that made him a great leader. As a youth it is very important for you to be humble that helps you to build healthy relationship with the people and creates a good image about you in their minds.

Emerge As a Good Leader

Dr. Kalam was well aware about the effect he had on the youth. With an image of a great leader, he always knew that people are always eager to interact with him and get inspired by him and he never ever let them down. He never discriminated or was never proud of what he was!
They way Dr. Kalam always carried himself taught us that no matter how successful we are, we should always be ready to inspire and connect with the people and emerge as a good leader.
What can children learn from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam? Which lessons of Dr. Kalam can help children excel in every field? What role has Dr. Kalam played in inspiring youth? Discuss here.

Dr. Kalam was so down to earth and humble person. I wish everybody could be like him. He is an epitome of simplicity and decency even after being on such heights.
