Dr. Subba Rao (MBBS, DCH, DNB) is Professor and Head of Department of Paediatrics at St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bangalore. Currently he is also a Senior Consultant Pediatrician, at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. He did his MBBS from the Bangalore Medical College in 1977 and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai University in 1986. He was awarded the Dr. Shantilal C. Seth prize for the highest marks scored in clinical as. The Gold Medal was awarded during the course of the Diploma in Child Health. He is a member of the Neonatal Advanced Life Support Training Team and has conducted more than 100 NALS courses for interns, pediatricians, staff nurses and medical officers all over the state of Karnataka. He is also in charge of the Diarrhea Treatment and Training Center (DTTU) and Vice-President of the National Neonatology Forum, Karnataka, since February 1999. He has made contributions to both Indian and international medical journals and has presented several papers at medical conferences around the world and in India.
