Do You Know How Your Child Feels?

Do You Know How Your Child Feels?

Are you aware of how your children feel when you act in a particular manner? Read on to find about how children feel in different situations.

Hundreds of children are fulfilling every single act assigned to them, whether by force or by habit every day. Moms and dads will anyway convince the child that she or he has taken it by choice because actually she or he does not have any choice. So now it is a turn to ask them back; ‘’Do you know how your child feels?’’ Let us try to find out the answer:

Studies

Most of the times, parents force kids to do good in every subject and thus quite unknowingly force them to start hating even those subjects in which they could have found interest. The disillusionment for the parents born out of sheer competition in childhood gets coupled in their teenage. But remember, before complaining about these, the seed has been lying somewhere in the roots of the past.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Have you ever thought ‘How does it matter if my child draws something silly with a pen on the last page of an exercise book and not with brushes on an art paper?’- ‘Why should I mind if my child only plays ‘’Para cricket’’ instead of net practice if she gets fun in it?’ NO, never. What we are to do is just push her into the chains of a system. And when this system will produce none but another machine, we will complaint again. But how come they come up with different ideas when the potential of an individual have been nipped in buds?

Feelings Within the Family

There are children, who love the company of others, be it friends or family members. And there are people who are just love spending time with themselves. Both are normal in their own ways. But the problem crops up when the parents insist to join them or pretend to be friendly. This anyway spoils the child’s privacy and again the anxiety regarding space arises. So why not let them find their own company? After all ‘society’, in a way, means a ‘circle’ where one feels comfortable in several senses.

Victim of Parents’ Problems

If you are careful enough as a parent, you will certainly notice your stress level being reflected in your child’s eyes. And you remember your childhood days? How you felt glad to see your parents live a happy life? All children are like that. So even if it is almost impossible to adjust with the other one, at least try to keep things simple, not over react openly in front of them. It is for their sake only. If you can keep her out of it, she can be the reason of uniting you two.

Dealing with Tough Times

Bundles of adversities can affect our families every day, yet often the emotional distress lasts for longer than expected, in the minds of children. And what matters is how they react to it.

Over -Performers:

This group keeps the pain hidden in the core of their hearts. And in the long run this depression turns into the competitive need of bigger achievements.

Under-Performers:

They are just the opposite; instead of jumping into the stream of competition they become reluctant about everything, with no motivation.

Rebels:

Their inner state of mind is usually reflected in their extreme behaviours. They become rebellions and adopt habits like smoking, drinking, drug addiction and other violence.

Quite Kids:

They are the most disturbed ones in the sense they keep everything in their minds. These quiet kids become victims of anxiety, depression and social phobias.

So, try to keep eyes on your child in both adverse and favourable conditions. ‘Keeping an eye’ means just keeping an eye and acting like a passive onlooker. And let them be independent. Keep one thing in mind, that you are nothing more than a catalyst in her life. Let her react and enjoy the result. You better keep yourself aside but make sure that you provide guidance on what is right and what is wrong.

Why is it important to know how children feel? How to make children feel happy and cheerful? How do children feel when parents yell and shout at them? Discuss here.

It is important to avoid fighting in front of children, leaving them alone because they can really feel stressed.

Children may feel suffocated and stressed if parents put too much of pressure on them and force them to do certain things.

It completely depends on parents to make children feel happy, cheerful and confident. So acting weirdly in front of them can prove harmful for children.
