My doc some time back sugested me to have nuchal fold thickness scan in 14th week and triple 3 test scan 16th week...however i did go through nuchal fold thickness but would want your help in deciding whether i should go for triple 3 test scan...what has ur doc' s sugested u...plz reply...

Hi Prathima :) I had the nuchal scan and triple 3 test scan done and yes the results are just give the chance of having abnormalities but there is no harm in getting it done..in week 20, a further scan called the anomily scan which will tell you more :) hope that helps

i agree with nisha... triple test would only give you a propability ... that is the chances .. for example... 1 in 1000 may have down syndrome etc... not to methat is quite vague... also once it comes under a limit ... you are sugested another test to confirma nd then another ... this whole brings ina lot of anxiety and a worries... well but again ...its apersonal choice and depends also on family history etc... so make a choice of your own coz doctors are their to suggest us .. not impose anything of the sorts... all the best..

Nuchal test

Hi Prathima,
These tests are usually worth pursuing for two reasons: 1) it helps those people who would like to make a decision of whether to keep the baby or abort the baby in case there is Down Syndrome or any other birth defects. 2) Some people want to know in advance so they can plan and prepare accordingly.

Personally, I don' t feel like doing any tests. I have faith in God and things will be just fine. Wish you all the best.

Some tests

Hi Prathima,
Since our due dates are in the same month we are in the same stage of our pregnancy. Anyways, my doc hasn' t prescribed me any such tests. i had goen for two ultrasound so far but no such tests. search about it on the net, btw, wat is it for?

every pregnancy is different so the latest you might start showing will be the 7th month.

you can attend college right till your 8th month but provided you don' t stress yourself out.
ie, eat every 2 hrs.
take your medicines and supplements
do not sit in one position for too long.
