hey ladies,
I am about to complete my 5th month and I know that from 5th month onwards one should start taking antenatal classes. I wanted to know whether all of you are taking antenatal classes?
I planned for the class before but now because of my work schedule it seems difficult for me.
I am worried that I am being careless by not enrolling for one.
Pls advise

Hi Nidhi,
Congratulations of your pregnancy. I too Agree with JBR. Already u mentioned, u have lots of work. so for the working mother, they have lots of stress in their lifestyle, So these kind of classes will help you, to kw understand your pregnancy process and strengthening your whole body muscles, breathing exercise as well as easy child birth for normal delivery.
As I' m now 12weeks pregnant. im going for my antenatal class @Dwi maternity studio. I used to go in the week end only.
All the best.

hi nidhi
i would recommend you to join some classes where in you are made to do all necessary exercises along with breathing techniques like lamaze which would help you in delivery your baby normally.

also yoga is considered as a good alternative to pregnancy exercises as along with blood circulation it also makes your immune system very strong which is prone to get weaken during pregnancy specially in last trimester.

i will highly recommend you to do atleast 20 min stretching and breathing exercise along with 30 min walk to induce good blood circulation and avoid any kind of swelling or fluid retention in your body. this will lead to a good pregnancy weight gain also.

Second trimester is the best time for all above workouts as with last trimester you will experience a very tough time performing the same.

Try this out and good luck

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
