Hi all,
Me a mom of 5 month old now. ayush used to cry like anything when he was 6-7 weeks. I used to wtach helplessly!! I thought maybe he was hungry and used to give milk, he used to cry even more !! Then one of my friends suggested giving him Himalaya' s Bonnisan syrup. Believe me it worked wonders.. Meanwhile I had read in a book that making the baby sleep on tummy releives the pain. Thats what we tried and the problem was reduced by 50 %, rest 50% was contributed by the bonnisan syrup.. I gace that syrup intially twice a day 1 spoon at a time and gradually reduced to once an day and stopped completely when he was 3 months old. Touchwood he was fine by then.
I really recommed these two things, as I know how mothers would be feeling looking at their babies cry and when we dont have a solution !!
Note: We also noticed that when Ayush sleeps on his tummy, he sleeps peacefully and longer perios esp because he doesnt get frightnened and wake up..
All the best !

My baby started doing this when she was 2 months old...

We finally discovered that she was sleepy at that time so tried rocking her in a dark room along with sining a lulaby to her...also gave her gripe water with her evening bottle of milk...these 2 things helped a lot!

Did you try giving him little bit of gripe water. If he has stomach gas or other stomach problem, try to boil water in tiny bit of cinnamon (dar chini) and give him that water or mix milk powder.see how it side effects of these two for 2.5 months old baby.hope he feels better.

Colic Aid drops (5 drops) after the 11 pm feedfor 5-6 days. Also as home remeby try applying a tick paste of hing/asoefatida on the stomach, around the navel (not on the navel)

Anti Colic bottles
I had heard of these anti colic bottles that reduce gas. These are mostly those with air vents but then I heard the are very difficult to clean. Then I found this anti colic bottle on Reebaby, that is very easy to clean and I guess is definitely worth the price and lasting. ... - Tanya [View Message]
do not worry
the problem you are facing is quite common . many babies face it. The symptoms are typical of colic. The exact cause of colic is till today not known. Typically the baby is happy during the day, but gets very irritable during night time with frequent demand of feeds which may or may not be associated with vomittings. Colimex is safe to be administered. Some steps like moth... - harry [View Message]

Baby grunting and pushing
If you think it' s trapped gas/colic, give gripe water.

If he' c sonstipated (hasn' t done a do for 24+ hours), put a baby-size glycerine suppository in him.... - Suzanne France [View Message]
