Dear Rashi,

My pregnancy guide (What to Expect When You Are Expecting) recommends that the only thing one needs to avoid during a pregnancy is spicy, greasy food since it not only provides u and ur child with empty calories but can also give u a bad heartburn.

Fruits and vegetables are in fact highly recommended for their nutritional value. So ignore the well-meaning advice and ensure that u are eating sensibly and healthy.

Good luck for the big event.

Shabana

Hi Rashi,

I have also been asked not eat a lot of things but I have confirmed with my doctor and have not been asked to stop eating anything.Though I am not having papaya and Watermelon.Watermelon because I have a very sensitive stomach and want to avoid an upset stomach.I have atleast 2 mangoes everyday and dried fruits too.You can ask your doctor before you stop eating anything , why deprive your taste buds for no reason :))
