but would like to add, that after 4 years of age also maggie with or without tastemaker pwder,,,is not a healthy food...
just do onething,,,check the ingrediants on the internet,,help yourself,,for all thats written on the maggie noodles and its tasteakes,,,,,and you will be shocked to know how healthy they are !!
surprising it sounds,,lets takes the only noodles,,at first, its made of enriched flour,,which in itself is not a good food !the other things is the later issue...
oonce a while ne packed food is ok to give,,but never try to make it as main meal,,if at all you want to,,offer lots of vegetables with it,,(not cooked in it, bt cooked seperately ) and offer more vegies thn these types of noodles..so even givin plain noodles is like givn something thats not doing ne good to your 13month old !!! the rrecipe of maggie noodles itself(without the flavour or tastemakers pwder),,is all same...
there are wonderful noodles available that are gluten free, whole grains,7 grains and such other varieties,,,they are excellent to give..you can always offer mild spices the same that maggie has it in its pwder,,just replace with fresh ingrediants in your own noodles,,and offer that !!!
take care, njoy and give ne prepacked ready to eat foods,,once a while,,nothing wrong,,but make sure the liking doesnt become a habit,,for you or for your lil one...!!!!!!!
Dana replied. Hi Anya,
Some varieties of maggi noodles (all except Masala flavor, if I am remember right), has Ajino Motto (MSG) added to it. So it is not safe for babies < 4 years and while you are breast feeding.
Occassional bites should be okay...try making noodles with plain egg noodles/without the taste maker, add veggies and give it to your child. That is much more nutritious and safe.

Dana
