How often do you visit your doctor , is it a preplanned visit or is it monthly visit?

What has your gynaec told you about the visits?

My fren just delivered, she said her gynaec followed a pattern of monthly visit till completion of 2 nd trimester 7 th and 8 th month he called her after every 15 days and last whole month 9 th month she visited almost every week.

Have your docs told you anything about the visit pattern?

hi sangeeta,breeze, thanx a ton yaar it feel wonderful reading from you guys, the procedure out here is quite different (uk).till now i havent met my gynec, only midwivifes(nurses) attend us. so my sonographer has booked me for a scan at 32 weeks. she said it normally moves up coz of stomach growing . so god willing everything should go fine. my due date is on 21st june. keep it touch and all the very best to everybody.

hi everyone

hello, my name is jasbir and i am expecting my second baby around the same time like you' ll. (end of june). even i am told during my scan in the second trimester that the placanta is posterior low and anterior. i am myself very confused i live in uk and my sonographer did not talk much about it, regarding the care to be taken. i am told to come in the 32nd week,. sorry for just coming in like this. pls do share things with me to, as i did not experience any of such thing during my 1st pregnancy. hope to get reply. love and best wishes

hi Jasbir,
i agree with Saba ur prob seems to be like mine.. i too suggest take a scan in between say somewhere around 27th-28th week..
coz low lying placenta often move up by 7th month..
talk to ur gynac about it and clear all ur doubts..and pls do not hesitate to share things with us.. we all r there to help each other after all we all are sailing in same boat:)

Hi Jasbir,

I guess ur case is similar to that of sangeeta´ s.... Tho the best person to give u more information & guide u about precautions & care to be taken would be ur gynac.

to know more abt Anterior Placenta u can read my reply below to sangeeta´ s query.

I believe you would have one more ultrasound to be done before ur due date somewer in the 7th/8th Month. Tkcr.

Hu Tej N Saba..

Ya till now i have been visiting doc every month. i guess the pattern is same every where..
i' m in my 6th month now.. my next app with doc is scheduled 2nd march(will complete 24weeks).. will update u gurlz if she asks me to come every 15days from now..

No Saba in this case u r lucky since u know it' s moving up.. actually my doc sends me to a scan center since it' s colour 4d doppler.. my 12th week scan was done in her hospital there she has 2D machine and she just said low lying placenta how low and all was not said.. when we did 20th week scan the report said \" PLACENTA IS ANTERIOR. LOWER EDGE OF PLACENTA DIPPING INTO LOWER SEGMENT AND IDENTIFIED 2.9cm ABOVE THE OS\"

No idea what this medical terms mean but doc assured everything will be fine.

so i really have no idea if it has moved up or not.. but my gynac said since it' s above OS it should definately move.. now just keeping fingers crossed and praying dear.. hope everything turns out well..

Hi! Don Worry....

Hi Sangeeta.....

Placenta being Anterior does not posses any risk to u or baby it only means your baby is taking a backseat to the placenta.....You might be less able to feel your baby´ s early kicks and punches because the placenta will serve as a cushion between your baby and your tummy. It happens in some pregnancies.

2.9 cm away from OS is close but not too bad..... n dis was during ur 20th week dats almost a month back.... If it had said 2 cm dat would hv been a bit of a concern.... but u don hv to worry about anything Inshallah it would hv moved up by now :)

Me too!

Me too waiting for the kicks yaar.. but now the movements r much more stronger ha.. sometimes i feel baby hitting from inside dunno if that´ s kick or not..

one more funny thing whenever i relish and eat something within few min my baby starts jumping..hehehe.. specially when i eat something chatpata my baby is very happy:))

how about you gurls?

feeling it as bubbles not lke kicks

i started to feel the baby movements frm the 1 st week of feb, its the same feeling like bubbles or flutters but havnt felt strong kicka etc.

Howz u gurl.... Wats news at ur end? U shud b in ur 6th month too same as me.... howz the placenta position? have u had another ultrasound to check yet or wud dat b in the 7th month....?

I guess i mentioned this earlier.... during my Anomally test we checked on my placenta position & it seems to be moving up.... I hope n pray its d same in ur case.... Keep updating :)

Hi Tej,

Yup i believe dat is hw d pattern follows.....

For now its a planned monthly visit for me....tho i hd visited d doc a few times in bet during my ruff times but dat doesnt stand true for everyone.....
My doc hsnt planned anything for future as such but i believe it will graduate to fortnightly from the 7th month onwards & weekly in d last month......
Will confirm wit my doc in my next visit....
