since i m flying 2 india witin a month or so for my delivery and thats y i m worried that is the facility of epidural also easily available in india too...coz from all the previous messages or can be said that all the birth stories i have read on IP board shows that the female who all had opted for it called it as a blessing...well i don't want 2 rely on this but i m surely interested 2 know whether it used in india too...so friends plz do reply if u all have any knowledge in this ....thanks in advance

well, where do you live know? i mean if you are in uk, us or canada now. why you are going to india for your delivery? i think you are better off where ever you are.
i don't think so it is a good idea to go to india

thank u for ur reply...but even i m not very much happy to go india for delivery...i m right now in US and i m very happy by the facilities available here...but since i m all alone here my husband is a bit scared of..and can't take any risk..so sadly i had 2 leave..anyways just pray 4 me...thanks once again

Yes, Epidural is available in most parts, especially in the bigger cities. Please check with your Indian gynaecologist.

Epidural + Gynae

Hi, I would like to know if epidurals are used in any hospital in Gurgaon? If yes, which hospital? Also, if someone can suggest a good gynae who has carried out epidural deliveries within Gurgaon. Please help of u have any information...I am in my 4th month of pregnancy now and not in Gurgaon but will be going to Gurgaon to my parent's place soon.

Very much available in India. India is not as backward as you think darling. In fact I think, delivery and pregnancy in India are much tension free than here. There are hell a lot of tests and screenings here for nothing.....Just njoy.....Its fun with lots of ppl around and u will be the VIP...(atleast till the baby comes...!)
