I was very surprised to know that Gudi Padwa is also celebrated in other states. It is know as Ugadi. It shows that all the festivals we celebrate are actually one for all the people in different states. Just as we talk different languages we celebrate festivals in different names. It is good to know that same festivals are celebrated with different names in different states of India.

It seems that buying gold on this day brings lot of prosperity in house. At the same time lot of people buy so many things on this day. I like this festival because we get to eat lot of sweet on the occasion of Gudi Padwa

I like festival of Gudi Padwa very much. Especially the sweets which are prepared at home are very nice. And the most important is that we get holiday on this day. It feels very good to see people dressed in traditional and colourful dressed during the festival of Gudi Padwa. I would like to wish every body a very happy and colourful Gudi Padwa.
