My name is Kevin. I am a 24 years old Canadian. I am currently living in Mumbai since a couple of weeks. (June 2010) I came here to learn Hindi for at least a year. I am looking for a host family with who I can share my experiences with children. I had many Aupair experiences before and I wanted to live that experience one last time. I travelled in almost 40 countries worldwide it gave me a new vision on the world. I can speak French perfectly, have good knowledge of German and basic communication of Spanish...
I am conscious that male Aupair aren´ t common (see inexistent) in Asia, but I sincerely think that I can take care of children as good as any woman.
Make a modern western step!
I am planning to attend a language school during daytime to learn Hindi. So I would be able to help in the morning and evening.
I can provide many references from my previous family and can send my CV with attach pictures.
If you don´ t have any need of Aupair or Nanny at the moment I would be glad if you could inform your friends who would have a possible need!

I have been looking for maid in Chembur since the past 3 months. I would prefer a live-in, but am also willing to compromise for a day-shift maid. I have tried 3 agencies till date - TR Manpower (Lamington Road), Akshata Agency (Ghatkopar), Vinayak Enterprises (CST), all of whom have turned out to be frauds. I have been trying agencies who take money only on the candidate joining, but the kind of people they are sending (after multiple calls) are absolutely useless. In case anyone knows a reliable maid, please refer to me.

I used an agency called SK Agencies. A guy called Sanjay Kumar runs it. Some Bengali fellow. Near Oshiwara Police Station. Complete Jerk and Fraud. Never provided a single decent maid. Sent me two but all trashy!! People please dont use him at all. He is based out of small shop near Pals in Andheri.

i personally think creche is a better idea , simple because of the fact that there is safety in numbers. The thought of my child being alone with a maid is a little scary. Though a lot of people prefer maids i gues because of the convinence, u dont have to pick /drop ur child, he does not have to fight over toys or whatever.
how are u currently magaging? if u can give me any lead on how to find a maid/agency name? creche i ll be grateful

Hi Pooja,
I can understand wht you mus be going through. Am facing the same problem. All my relatives are in Delhi and am alone in Mumbai with my husband & 10 months old daughter. I am working & have been trying desparately to find a good maid but have been unlucky so far. I have also practically asked everyone, neighbours, friends, colleagues, my top servant, etc. etc. If anybody could please suggest me some good maid centre, I would be highly obliged.
