Feeding:Recipe for dalia

Hi everyone,

Would really appreciate it if you could give me the recipe for dalia for an 8 month old baby.

Also, do you give a baby that age sabudana and if anyone has a recipe for that, it will be great.

I am struggling with dinner ideas for my baby - any clues to variety in dinner will be appreciated.

Thanks a ton!

hi S M,
you could make dalia as an upma adding veggies. maybe you could add pureed vegetables as your kid would not be chewing yet. you could also make it like sheera adding sugar, ghee. kids love this. pls grind it first if the dalia is too coarse. also add extra water so that it cooks soft. sabudana can be made like a porridge adding milk, sugar. you could also add butter milk to it. generally it is given to bind the tummy when the kid has loose motions. jessica

Roast dalia and grind in a mixie...just one or two rounds. Soak in watre for 30mts...then cook with watre in a cooker. after 2-3 whistles...open the cooker add milk and sugar n cook. U can also make namkeen dalia with daal.

Sabudana kheer - boil milk, add sabudana n water (lots), sugar n cook. Let it cool.

Thanks for the response.
