Miscarriages generally take place
in the first two trimesters. The chance of a miscarriage in the third
trimester is extremely low.

of progesterone making the uterine environment less receptive

Incompetent os i.e. weakness of the
cervical muscles
-
Excessive water i.e. hydramnios
-
Low-lying placenta causing bleeding
and consequently abortion
-
Lifting heavy weights
Third Trimester
-
Very low chances of miscarriage
-
After 28th week, it is considered premature
labour
What kinds of women
are at high risk for a miscarriage
-
Pregnancy with twins or multiple babies
-
Women who conceive with IVF treatment
for hormonal imbalance
-
Women with abnormalities of the uterus
When should I try
to conceive again after a miscarriage
There is no one answer for when you
should try to conceive again after a miscarriage. It entirely depends
upon the reason for miscarriage. For example, in the case of foetal
anomaly, genetic counseling of both parents is a must before the next conception.
In the case of intrauterine viral infection, it has to be treated first
before another conception can be planned.
