Why punish a child? Isn't a child said to be an innocent? Well, I presume he is.. If a child is ignoring his mother (or father) then, I say something is lacking in the parent..or the way the parent behaves towards the child is a wrong strategy. Yes, I know..Every parent wants the best for his/her child.. The best is to talk lovingly, give affection, attention and have the patience that love requires. a child is not born with talents and the gift of knowing right from wrong just like that..it takes time, the background, atmosphere and environment to be considered, as well as upbringing. It is not a common thing in most children to 'just do this' to their parents. Think from a child's perspective.. He does not have the experience the mother (or father) has, therefore she should make time and always be good to the child..and good will so return..attention and love will so return (as you give)..perhaps..more will be returned. A child's first teacher, friend and love should be his parents.. be that loveable parent..

Many parents end up yelling at their kids when they do not listen. However, it is important to solve the issue patiently with the child.

I am worried a lot about my child’s behaviour as he does not listen to me. I shout at him so many times. Lot of people tell me that shouting or yelling won’t help and it is important to make the kid understand by talking to him or her calmly.

It is common in children. Most of the children do this to their parents. My child was doing this to me when she was a preschool. I was worried a lot. However, her behaviour settled a little when started going to school.
