hello every one.....personal computers or laptops to kids...not really...they simply need to play games at age of 10 or like , that can be done on parents laptops...at 15 they try to access internet..different web site....give the parents laptop for restricted hours and check out the histories....the child feel independent as well as under control..once he crosses 18 he can own a personal laptop

I agree with Rita. It is safe to install computer in the living room so that everybody knows what child is doing on the computer. It is not a good idea to give computer or laptops to kids at an early age. Younger kids should use computer in the presence of parents and personal laptops or computers should be given to kids only at the age of 14.

It is safe to give computer or laptop to kids at whatever age as long as parents know which type of sites child is accessing through internet. Parents should have complete control over the computer usage of child for the safety purpose. If parents cannot control what kids are doing on computer or laptop, they should always accompany the child when her or she is using computer.

We have only one computer at home and everybody uses that. What does it mean to give personal laptops or computers to kids? My child is 8 years old and he uses that computer. We have installed the computer in the living room so that everybody can see what is going on with the computer so it completely safe.
