Celebrity names are very popular so many parents prefer to name their babies after celebrities. Many parents also name their babies with the names which celebrity parents give to their baby. Celebrity name is itself is a very good concept in naming the baby. However, it can be a co-incidence that parents may like some name and it may turn out to be a celebrity name after some time or baby itself can become a celebrity one day.

Many parents like to name their babies after a celebrity. Our neighbour got a baby boy when the film ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ was released so he named his baby boy as 'Hritik'. Indians are ok with naming their babies with a celebrity name. In the olden days parents were influenced very much by celebrity names.

I would not like to name my baby after a celebrity. I think it is stupid to name the baby after a celebrity. Parents should name their babies with the names which they like and not with a celebrity name. I personally feel that parents should not name their babies after a celebrity name. My wife wanted to name our baby as ‘Sachin’ as she wants our baby boy to become like Sachin Tendulkar when he grows up. However, I objected this as I want my baby to become what he wants, so we named him 'Girish'.
