Name: ruchita Country: India Comment: i dont agree to the logic that a men has to force his wife to work.it depends on the financial status,if the husband is earninig well and they can well adjust theirvlifes it is fair on the part of the wife not to work,and if the lady is really workholic and needs to build up her carreer she can do it according to her wishes.but there should not be any force from the spouse regarding the same. If women have to work than it should be through mutual understanding taking into account financial, family and other needs besides sharing of responsibilities in house work and raising of children. If the woman is qualified and prefers to work and still be able to run her home in partnership with her spouse than who's to stop them. Name: Pankaj Country: India Comment: No it is not correct to force anybody to work. It is a very shameful deed on part of men to force their wives to work. Wives have a complete right to decide on their own whether they should work or not after getting married. Once a woman is married to a man, whole responsibility of taking care of women should be taken by men and should not force their wives to work. In fact is a duty of married men to earn money for his family and women’s duty is to take care of house. Name: Seema Country: India Comment: No it is very unfair to force women to work. It is totally her decision. Once she gets married she need not work as she has to take care of her house and children. Though some women are career oriented, it is very wrong to force her to work. I have also seen that some families only want to accept working woman as their daughter-in-law. Men should feel ashamed of themselves if they are forcing their wives to work. After all it is a man’s responsibility to feed and take care of his wife which is not at all a responsibility of wife. Name: Maneesha Country: India Comment: The situation is contrary in my case. My husband does not allow me to work. After I got married I stopped working as very soon I got pregnant. I did not work because I wanted to give time to my husband and my baby. However, my child has grown up now and I want to start working again. But my husband is not allowing me to work. I pity for all those women whose husband forces them to work. It is a very sad situation that husband forces wife just for money. It looks very mean and cheap.
