I see no need to send kids for tutions when they are studying from such good schools - even for board exams. As for junior students, parents need to do their bit at home. Earning fat salaries (both) and putting responsibilty of the kids - not only education - on others, seems to be the trend of the day. Nobody can do what a parent does for the child, despite any hefty sum you pay. Its high time we realised our responsibilities and gave time to our children - even if it means some compromises in our careers. Name: raj Country: India Comment: schools should ensure that tutions are not required by arranging for extra classes .Parents also must do their part. Name: nhk iyer Country: India Comment: If the parents are not qualififed well or if they are don't have sufficient qualfication they can send. Otherwise it is better to keep the kids under our care in home Name: Sunita Country: India Comment: I don't much care for this habit of sending children for tuitions. I think that parents themselves should make an effort to see that their children are able to cope. After all most parents themselves are educated and are perfectly capable of attending to their children's studies. After all, why have children if you intend to have someone else do what is your work. Name: Vandana Country: India Comment: I guess you could send children for tuitions if have to give their board exams. It helps them cope with their studies. Schools usually do not get time to complete the curriculum. Therefore they do not focus on explaining the concepts themselves and only look to finish their portion in the allotted number of lectures. Name: Kartik Country: India Comment: This is a very loaded question. In an ideal scenario, no child really requires tuitions. However, in our country today, the competition is extremely intense. If you want your child to be the best then you have to send him for extra coaching. I feel sad for the kids though. That's all they ever do.
