I go to high school in Canada, and Cell phones are great for emergencies.They will have access to cell phones anyways if their friends have them or they can simply use payphones and spend twice the money they would spend on cell phone bills. Anyways, do you think that a teacher has personally made it their life's mission to insure the safety of their students? After all its a ratio olf 1 teacher against 30 or so other individual students. Isn't the lifes and the safety of your children worth more then petty phone bills on which you can trace who and when they call anyways. The decision is yours. They go to school for learning the things and not to talk to parents/friends. They go to school for teaching and not for talking on phone. Parents should not allow children to carry mobile with them.
