Name: MJ Country: India Comment: I have had the worst time of my life after marriage. Mine was a love marriage. I am a qualified professional, though I am not working at the moment. She has made every moment of the 5 years of my marriage absolute hell. I have tried making compromises and adjustments, also tried the ignore tactics...nothing works. Her misbehavior continues...and I am becoming a good case of depression. I am my parents place now since my husnabd was out of India for sometime now and have tried to gain back some of my self respect. I have been telling my husband to take up a separate acco but he too is not very enthusistic about it. But this time I have put my foot down as I have to think of my emotional well-being as well as about the kind of environment I want to provide my son. Enough is Enough! Name: namrata Country: India Comment: my mil is a total bitch and has made my life hell. thank god we moved out or i would have had a nervous breakdown. good thing my husband is on my side, so we moved out and altough we are now in the same building, we at least have different flats, which makes a world of a difference. i am educated, working, and no way in hell i was going to put up with her tantrums and treating me like shit. Name: Sharada Country: India Comment: its good to know that a big percentage of people really get along well their mMIL. sadly for me my MIL is an eccentric, dominating and shrewd lady. she is never satisfied with anyone. she has a revengeful attitude . all in all she is a hopeless lady. i always thought that i wud find at least a good companoin in my MIL .but sadly its not teh case. anyway after 3 yrs of maaariage now ive given up on her. i ignore her and so im happy now. Name: shivani Country: India Comment: i have the best mother in law in the whole world. i was just 20 when i got married and did not even know how to cook. she taught me everything and if i made mistakes she was the first one to cover it.i consider myself lucky that she loves me so much and accepted not only my goodness but weaknesses too. Name: viji Country: Malaysia Comment: i can get along with mother-in-law and i have been with her almost 3 years. it is all in my hand on how handle the matter. The reason being I do not expect anything from my motherinlaw nor does she expect anything expect love and respect which I give her in plenty.
