![]() Views on Poll ![]() Name: Amisha Country: India Comment: I am very strict with my children and ai don't think they are spoilt. But then one day one of my friends just passed a comment that made me think. She said - "Don't you give your child everything she asks for?" And yes I do give her everything she asks for, but 99% of the time, they are things that I would have wanted to give her myself! So what is the definition of Spoilt? Name: Usha Country: India Comment: My son is 3 year old. He is naughty and mischeous. He throws tantrums sometimes, but he is sensitive to my feelings amd right now, I am finding it difficult to manage him. But I think I can still mould him well with patience. My mother says I am pampering my son too much, but I somehow feel explaining things logically as far as possible, though a tough job is always more rewarding than bluntly saying no. It is my personal experience that whatever I was explained logically in my childhood have good impact even for today. But I am little confused too it I am going more on the side of giving it to the child..... Ofcourse I am persistent of what I say though my negation will not be very harsh and to which my son through tantrum occasionally and it needs a lot of patience from side to manage him then, ie., explain, divert and things like that. Can anyone advice or suggest in this regard??? It all depends how we are and how we grow our children. Too much control will only make them spoilt. Name: Sunil Country: India Comment: Children get spoilt if given too much freedom from thier parents or very less freedom from thier parents. I don't think my child is spoilt as i have taught him values regarding what is right and what is wrong for him & he's lived up to my expectation. ![]() INDIAPARENTING IN THE NEWS HOME | Comments or Suggestions | Resources | RSS Site Map | Contact Us | Advertise with Us All Rights Reserved Worldwide.
