I believe parents should teach their children religious and cultural values by setting examples, such as the example of praying. However, I do not think prayer can be forced upon children- it should be something they willingly participate in. Prayer is not for everyone. Some people find spiritual growth through other means.

From the parents stem our values. It is important that the parents teach the kids to pray. They may not see the results early but the kids will appreciate that lifelong. For sure !!!It gives me immense satisfaction in times of stress and then i credit my parents for giving that recourse.

I´m for Portugal ,city of Lisbon.I believe that our children must pray during the day atleast twice ,because that helps them to value the elders, life and our tradition .We're leaving far away from our roots, but our children know almost everything about our religion and culture, and respect our faith. After some age they should decide ,what to do ,but until that day arrives ,we should guide them for goodness ,and that's what our religion means. kundan.darmeg@mail.pt -Reply if you want.

I voted for once a day but my husband and I pray twice a day. But now my children see us pray and they join us. These things should come from the children. Then it has more meaning rather than impose it on them and they feel it an ordeal. Our purpose is defeated then.

Parents should encourage children to pray, not only pray but also meditate. Meditation is important, forget its religious aspects but it also helps children in their studies.
