As a future educator I don't feel it is my responsibility to educate someones child about sex. I wouldn't expect teacher to teach such an important lesson to my child. But better after 11, the sooner.It is the age when they are entering in a new phase and should know the few basics about body, it,s sex parts and their functions.Also the advantages and misadvantages of masturbation etc which is a common thing during this age. I guess the parents should get rid of their inhibitions first, before laying the 'bare' facts before their child. I was suprised by how much she already knew but the fact that I discussed it with her has made her less self conscious about sex.
