| INGREDIENTS | 2 cups Gram (chana) dal
1 cup Urad dal
1 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 tsp soda bi carb
1 tsp Mustard seeds
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
1 tsp Turmeric
Corriander leaves
Grated coconut | METHOD | Wash and soak gram and urad dals seperately for two hours. Grind both the dals coarsely to a thick consistency.
Add salt, sugar, turmeric, oil, soda bi carb and beat lightly with a serving spoon. Pour the above mixture in a greased thali and stem it in the cooker for 10 minutes.
When it gets cold, garnish it with chopped corriander leaves, grated coconut.
Cut diagonally before serving.
