Weight Gain and Baby's Development

How much weight should I have gained by the end of this month

You should have gained roughly 4 pounds this month. Your total pregnancy weight by the end of this month should be about 14-16 pounds.

Is it possible to miscarry at this stage

Miscarriage is a rare case in the second trimester. In fact, by the sixth month, your baby is almost formed, and at the worst you could go into premature labour. If born now, the foetus could even survive under intensive care.

How is my baby growing

The foetus is now about 13 inches long and weighs about 1¾ pounds. It has no fat on its body and its skin is thin. The eyes are open and the eyelids are almost fully formed. Its little fingers and toe prints are visible.
