Some of these have already come out, others are highly anticipated and all of them are family entertainers. So let's take a look at what's rocking the box office this season.
Up
If you have not already heard of this movie from your kids, then you really should be spending more time with them! Up from Walt Disney is a family entertainer and has become very popular with not only kids but also adults, due to its hilarious moments. This animated movie is about the adventures of an old man named Carl who decides to travel to South America by tying balloons to his house. But his plans go awry when he finds that a kid got into his house minutes before he took off. The movie then goes on to tell the adventures and misadventures they face on the journey. A definite watch!
District 9
This one is an offering from Peter Jackson of the Lord of the Rings fame. The movie has been appreciated by most of the people who have seen it. The story is about an alien race that lands up on Planet Earth and slowly becomes a part of human life. They soon manage to anger the humans who want them relocated to a far away place. The movie is about the efforts of the government to relocate the 'immigrants' and the secret team who are trying to steal the alien technology. A definite watch if you like thrillers!
Wake Up Sid (Hindi)
This movie should be incredibly popular among the urban youth because it tells the story of a young man, fresh out of college. It has Ranbir Kapoor playing the protagonist Sid, who does not really have any direction in life. He meets Aisha(played by Konkona Sen) who finds him annoying at first but eventually sees through to his good side. It is not uncommon to see teenagers who waste time post-college and this movie is about changing circumstances and how Sid has to face hard reality. A definite family movie!

This movie is a highly anticipated movie from James Cameron and is scheduled to release in December 2009. Avatar is the story of a far-away world and how humans wish to take over it for its natural resources. The trailers have been lauded for the top quality computer graphics and with James Cameron in the driver's seat, you can be sure the movie will be gripping till the last second!
Away We Go
This one should appeal a lot to new parents and parents to be! Away We Go is a beautiful movie about a couple who are about to be parents, and they set out in a search to find the perfect place to settle down. They travel across the country and even abroad to find the right home and discover many lessons about life in the process. They ultimately find the perfect home, so watch this to find out how!
