![]() MOONG SOUP
INGREDIENTS: ½ cup green moong dal
METHOD: Soak the green moong for a few hours
and then boil in a pressure cooker with lots of water. When it is cool,
blend and strain. Splutter the mustard seeds along with the cumin seeds
in low fat oil. Add the asafoetida followed by the strained moong. Now
add the salt, pepper and sugar to taste and boil. Garnish with finely chopped
coriander leaves. Serve with garlic bread. Serve hot, with a dash of lemon
juice and garlic bread on the side.
