![]() PINWHEEL CIRCLES INGREDIENTS 15g plain chocolate
METHOD Firstly melt the chocolate over a double boiler. Then sieve the flour. Now whisk the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gently whisk the eggs along with a dash of salt as well as vanilla essence and then blend it with the butter and sugar. Now gradually fold in the sieved flour. Now, divide this dough in two halves and knead in the melted chocolate in any one half. Wrap both the doughs separately in cling film and chill for about half an hour. Then roll out the doughs while still in the cling film into two oblongs that are about three inches long and a quarter inch thick. Place the light dough on top of the dark one and roll it tightly together. It should look like the wheel of a car or a swiss roll. Freeze this for about an hour, wrapped tightly, and then cut it into thick slices. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees centigrade and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and onto a clean newspaper to cool. Wait until they are cool and crisp
