VEGETABLE
GRATIN
INGREDIENTS:
3 tbsp cheese(grated)
100 gms cream
½ cup small flat piece cauliflower
10 french beans
1 small carrot
small potatoes
2 small capsicum
3 pieces tinned pineapple
1 packet baby corn
1 tbsp butter
salt(as required)
pepper
INGREDIENTS FOR WHITE SAUCE:
2 cups cold milk
1½ tbsp maida
METHOD:
(for white sauce)
Mix the maida in cold milk and cook
till it becomes thick. Remove from flame and chill it.
(for the main dish)
Cut the French beans into pieces
and the carrot into round pieces. Boil the small potatoes and cut them
in half. Dice the capsicum into small pieces. Cut the pineapple into small
pieces.
Boil each vegetable separately, by
adding a little salt and water. Mix cheese, cream, salt and pepper in the
white sauce, and butter. Keep them in the fridge to cool. Place cold vegetable
and pineapple pieces in a dish. Pour white sauce, sprinkle breadcrumbs
and bake for ½ an hour.
Serve hot.
