First day of Navratri which is also known as Pratipada falls on Thursday, September 21. This day is dedicated to Shailaputri form of Goddess Durga. The colour to be worn on this day is yellow.

Day 2 - Green Colour

The second day is also known as Dwitiya which will fall on Friday, September 22. This day is dedicated to Brahmacharini form of Goddess Durga. On this day green colour can be worn.

Day 3 – Grey Colour

The third day is known as Tritiya and on this day Chandraghanta form of Goddess Durga is worshipped. This day will fall on Saturday, September 23. Grey colour should be worn on this day.

Day 4 - Orange Colour

On the day four which is also known as Chaturthi, Kushmanda form of Goddess Durga is worshiped. It will fall on Sunday, September 24 and orange colour can be worn on this day.

Day 5 - White Colour

White colour can be worn on the fifth day. This day is also known as Panchami. This day will fall on Monday, September 25. Goddess Durga is worshipped in Skand-Mata form on this day.

Day 6 - Red Colour

Red colour can be worn on day six which falls on Tuesday, September 26. This day is known as Shashti and Goddess Durga is worshipped in her Katyayani form.

Day 7 - Royal Blue

The seventh day is known as Saptami and will fall on Wednesday, September 27. On this day Kalratri form of Goddess Durga is worshiped. The colour for this day is royal blue.

Day 8 - Pink

Pink colour can be worn on the eight day. The eight day is also known as Ashtami and is known as one of the most important days of Navratri. This day is also known as Durgashtami which will fall on Thursday, September 28 this year. Maha Gauri form of Goddess Durga is worshiped on this day.

Day 9 - Purple

On the ninth day, Goddess Durga is worshipped in her Siddhidatri form. The colour for this day is purple. This day will fall on Friday, September 29. This day is also known as Navami.

People here in Mumbai are very enthusiastic. The whole city is painted in same colour on each day of Navratri.
