FETTUCINE WITH TOMATO SAUCE Recipe | | Main Course Recipe by Tarla Dalal |
| | INGREDIENTS | 1/2 packet white fettucine
1/2 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 cup small broccoli florests
6 to 8 nos. baby corn, sliced lengthwise
2 tablespoons tomato puree
2 tablespoons cream
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon oil
Salt to taste
| | METHOD | Cook the fettucine in salted water for about 5 minutes to make it tender.
Drain, refresh in cold water and keep aside.
Heat the butter and oil in a pan, add the onion and garlic and stir fry for some time.
Add the broccoli and baby corn and stir. Add 1/4 cup of water, cover and cook. Then add the tomato puree, cream and milk and heat till the mixture comes to a boil.
Finally, add the fettucine, oregano and salt and mix till the sauce coats the fettucine.
Serve immediately.
