GHUGRA Recipe
Main Course Recipe by Smita Nadgir


 30 Minutes  10 Persons

  INGREDIENTS
2 cups wheat flour
1 kg peas shelled
1 tbsp fresh corinader leaves chopped
3 green chillies ground
1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
2 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of hing

  METHOD
1. Wash and grind the peas.

2. Heat 2 tsps oil in a frying pan, add hing and the peas.

3. Cook it till done.

4. Add salt, green chillies, lemon juice, giner and sugar.

5. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

6. Sprinkle coriander leaves and keep aside to cool.

7. Add salt and 3 tbsp oil to flour. knead into a hard dough, adding enough water.

8. Take a little dough, make a round ball and roll in shape of puri, place it over gujja cutter, fill in the peas mixture and fold it. Make as many gujias as possible,

9. When they are done fry in oil on a slow flame till they are golden.

10. Serve hot.
