CHINESE VEGETABLES IN HOT GARLIC SAUCE Recipe | | Main Course Recipe by Tarla Dalal |
| | INGREDIENTS | 10 big cauliflower pieces
1 capsicum, sliced
10 baby corn (parboiled)
10 french beans (parboiled), sliced
A pinch Ajinomoto powder (optional)
2 teaspoons finely chopped ginger
2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
2 teaspoons finely chopped green chillies
1/2 teacup tomato puree
2 teaspoons cornflour
2 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
| | METHOD | Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan on a high flame. Add the ginger, garlic and green chillies and stir fry over a high flame for a few seconds.
Add the vegetables and Ajinomoto and cook for a few minutes.
Add the tomato puree.
Mix the cornflour in 1/2 cup of water and add to the vegetables.
Add the salt and cook for a few minutes. If you like, add a pinch of sugar.
Serve hot.
