HEALTHY DRY FRUITS LADDO Recipe | | Indian Sweets Recipe by Archana Balasubramanian |
| | INGREDIENTS | Dates-3/4(de-seeded & skin peeled off)
almonds - 3-4
pista - 3-4
cashew - 4-5
walnut - 3-4
raisins - 5-6
jaggery/palm jaggery - 1 cup
milk - 1tbsp
cardomom - a pinch
ghee - 2 tbsp(i prefer organic one made @ home from cow's milk) | | METHOD | 1. Cut dates and keep aside
2. Mix cardomom,pista,cashew,walnut and run in the whiper mode in the mixer to get almost grated nuts(not too big not powdered)
3. Heat ghee in tawa and roast the nuts and raisins and keep aside.
4. In the same tawa,with the same ghee add dates and fry well to remove the raw smell. add milk and jaggery mix well till it cooks and becomes mushy.
5. Add the fried nuts and raisins and mix well till it reaches a halwa consistency.
6. If it is too mushy, you can sprinkle poha(dry one roasted in ghee and powdered before)
7. Switch off the stove and roll the halwa into small rolls. It can be covered with white sesame seeds(dry roasted) or grated coconut
This is a gluten-free recipe which is rich in many nutrients and micro-nutrients for your kid. It also has a lip-smacking taste! |
