BANANA
WITH CHERRY SAUCE
INGREDIENTS
3 bananas
½ cup crushed macaroons
¼ cup flour
½ cup oil
¼ cup apricot jam
2 tbsp. black currant jelly
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
½ cup candied cherries (in
halves)
METHOD
Cut bananas in pieces and roll in
the crushed macaroons and then in the flour. Then fry in oil till golden
brown. Drain out the oil and brush them with apricot jam. Arrange on a
serving plate in the shape of a rising triangle. Sprinkle with nuts.
For the cherry sauce melt the black
currant jelly in a saucepan and add water and sugar. To this syrup add
the cherries and pour over the banana triangle. Enjoy
