I have adopted my brother-in-law's son three years ago. My husband is blind and I am visually challenged. When we visited our native village, Garhwal in Uttaranchal, three years ago, we met with Pradeep who was four then. He is my husband's elder brother's son. The little boy's father wis no more and we didn't have a kid of our own, back then when we were married for a year. We decided to bring him with us to Mumbai because his age was appropriate for admission into lower K.G. Also, doctors have told us that their our own baby may inherit the eye problem that I suffer from. We still have our options of having a baby of our own, but in the meentime, Pradeep is finishing his third year of education in Mumbai. He is amongst the toppers in a good convent school.
