A lot many educated women from urban areas have understood the tricks of misusing the laws to their advantage. Most women would like the in-laws to stay in the house as long as they are doing the household work and speak only when they are asked to. Most women keep nagging their exhausted husband to live in a certain way and threaten for dire consequences if they don't obey. Most women-laws are enacted/amended by looking at the precarious condition of rural women without considering that those same laws are craftily misused by urban women, thanks to women's organisation. If Women Empowerment is all about making somebody do something or he will face legal prosecution then women empowerment is bogus. Women Empowerment is about bringing the best in women and not allowing women to dominate people "legally".

i did not understand why this has been mentioned that women demands too much from husbands. we all shud understand in todays scenario, most of the husbands and wives work to meet both ends and what is the harm if the husband is willing to share the domestic responsibility. So far as in laws are concerned for a working lady the elders are always a help because she neednt wrry abt kids and home wen at work..It is strange if sharing the responsibility is termed as"Women empowerment is a legal domination in disguise."

Most of the modern women are asking too much from their husbands. They want their in-laws to stay separately, they want total freedom and at the same time want their husband to follow their instructions obediently. Is this what women empowerment all about ? And if the husband don't oblige, he is falsely accused of dowr harassment to teach him a lesson. Women empowerment is a legal domination in disguise.

More and more modern Indian women are opting for divorce as an easy way out instead of resolving amicably. The children are bearing the brunt of the gruesome court drama that follows the break-up. Police too confirm that most of the time, women exaggerate the issue and decide to take divorce after filing a false case of dowry harassment. Is women liberation about breaking the marriage or making ends meet ?

A good husband would automatically be a good father as he would share his responsibilities equally and affectionately. The roles are inter-related and affect each other according to the way they are carried out. A good husband would set good examples (about responsibilities etc) for the kids, while a good father, who takes up his responsibilities would automatically be liked by the kids mother (his wife). This is what i think and my point of view. What do you think?
