I feel whether girl or boy can be taken care is good. more than 2 kids is difficult for the parents to give time to & it is hard for the kids as the facilities u can provide for one or two will have to be cut back to provide for all.

Keep in mind about the high population in India , there should not be any penalty for three children , as second time the couple may have twin . After having two children the mother should go for ligation . There should be a strict law and order for this .

It is the personel choice of each individual as to how many children they want to have.Yes, India dosen't need a exploding population but the quality of excess population also makes a difference.What we see is the educated rich and middle-class going for a single child while the uneducated having lots of children who again are uneducated and the cycle continues.But if a couple have 3 children and all of them are successful and provide employment to a few people,it is a boon to the country.

this is the least we can do for the country. Even if we cannot do anything worthwhile for the country we should avoid putting too much pressure on the countries resources. It is high time we discipline ourselves and take the country forward and do whatever it takes to take the country forward. Each ones contribution will enable the country to progress. LOng live india.
