Bonding with your Baby

I am concerned about not being able to bond with my baby

Try to do most of the feeding yourself because every person has a different way of holding, handling and talking to the baby. Having different people bottle feed the baby can hamper good feeding, adjusting and mother- baby bonding. Later, when the baby becomes a little older, you can let others share the fun of feeding the baby. Try to switch arms mid-feeding. This gives you a chance to relieve the ache that can develop from staying in one position for so long.

I am feeling guilty about not breastfeeding my child

Feel good about bottle-feeding. If you were eager to breastfeed and could not do it for some reason, do not feel guilty. You can give your baby good nutrition and just as much love with bottle-feeding. Remember that you do not want to pass on your guilt and frustrations to your baby.
