The Second Year
From holding objects to twisting doorknobs

13 to 15 months

The baby will be able to hold two objects in one hand, make marks with a pencil and attempt to take her shoes off.
 

15 to 20 months

By this time, the baby can dexterously build a tower of bricks, can flip the pages of a book and becomes skilled at manipulating food.
 

21 to 24 months

By this age, the baby can unscrew lids and twist doorknobs. She will begin to enjoy washing her hands.
