What is the MMR vaccine, and why is it so important
This vaccine is administered to immunize your child against measles, mumps and rubella. This is a very important vaccine because contracting any of these diseases can lead to serious health complications.
What kind of reactions will my child get
The baby will usually develop reactions
to the vaccine only a week or two after the shot has been given. These
reactions are generally very mild and may include a rash, slight fever,
swelling of the neck or salivary glands, and aching joints.
To whom should this vaccine not be given
It is dangerous to administer the
vaccine to anyone who is severely allergic to eggs or to an antibiotic
