US-trained
Nirali Sanghi converted a website into an internet career option by edging
herself into a niche. Her site www.indiaparenting.com,
which she launched a year ago, now has 2 million visitors a month. Says
Sanghi, "You have to find a niche to survive in publishing. There is no
money for an also-ran."
YOUR CORNER
ON THE NET
The
Web is, at many levels, about the bonhomie of like-minded souls. So if
you have anything to communicate to the world, a great way to do it is
by setting up a website. That gives you the opportunity to later sell products
or services related to it. Take Nirali Sanghi, president, DataMagic Websolutions,
who launched Indiaparenting.com a year ago, after a successful IT career
in the US. Today, her site has 2 million visitors a month. She has also
started selling children's books on-line. Says Sanghi, "You have to find
a niche area to survive in publishing. There is no money for an also-ran."
