I do not think it is important going out every year. The bond between parents and kids is important. While no trips at all would bore them, a trip every alternate year would be fine. We haven’t taken our kids out since three years. We are working with a budget that does not allow us to take lavish trips. The kids are fine and are doing interesting things here itself.

We visit India every alternate vacation. It is such a great time to meet relatives and friends. Coming back to your country is such a different feeling Mt daughter Amber enjoys all the attention that her Nani gives her. She loves all the gifts, food and care. She loves eating on a banana leaf. Every time we come to India she takes back a souvenir and keeps it like a treasure. She would really miss her trip if we did not get her to India. She really looks forward. This time she wants to sit on an elephant

I guess it is important to go out in the summer vacations. It is a good time to stay away from home and daily routine. The kids get a good break. They also have something to go back and share with their friends. We have almost done everything in Mumbai. There is no fun going back to the same place. So we plan trips that are affordable like last year we went to Mahabaleshwar. This time we are going to Jaipur. My kids can have memories of their vacation. Once they grow up, I don’t think they would enjoy the same with us.
