Advantages of Having Children Before Your 30s

Advantages of Having Children Before Your 30s
There are many advantages of having children before you enter your 30s. Read on to learn more about the benefits of having children before 30s.

It is purely a couple’s personal decision when to plan a family. Yet, in the span of the last few years, it is seen that women want to achieve financial success before she begins having children. This creates a problem as she stuck between her desire to have children and the need to do well in life.
Women are now encouraged to bear children at the optimal biological age, for children’s health and happiness. By encouraging them to get married and have children in their 20s, society should not blame them for following the dreams of their own. But there are some of the good reasons to have children before turning 30. Let us take a look at them.

1. Peak of Reproductive Strength

Pregnancy and childbirth are tough jobs, and are well performed when a woman is at the peak of her reproductive strength. This happens to be the best decade for conceiving, as the woman’s eggs are now of the best quality with a lower chance of miscarriage. The age of 26 years is said to be the lowest risk-time to bear a baby, heal after delivery and to nurse the baby. On the other hand the risk of miscarriage, birth defects and inability to conceive are higher for older women.

2. Lower Risk of Birth Defects

A woman’s eggs are of the best quality when she is in her 20s, which unfortunately degrades as she ages. Similarly, a man’s sperm and reproductive system is at the best in his 20s. On the other hand, unhealthy eggs and sperms lower the chances of pregnancy. This also shoots up the risk of birth defects and conditions such as autism. Older mothers are at a higher risk of giving premature birth, and having children prone to health defects or Down’s Syndrome. Older fathers pose a higher risk of their children being born with diseases related to genetic mutation.

3. Faster Post-Childbirth Healing

A woman’s body and weight change drastically during her pregnancy. She can recover much faster from the rigours of delivery right in her 20s due to the higher amount of collagen and elastin in her body. In short, it is possible to get back your pre-pregnancy body shape if you have children young. On the other hand, older women have chances of a risky pregnancy and complications in delivery. Such complications include a Caesarean operation, lengthy and painful labour, infant distress and poor foetal positioning for birth. Thus, older women take a longer time to heal from childbirth.

4. You Will Save a Ton of Money on Fertility Treatments

As mentioned, your eggs will start degrading in your late 20s, which soon gives way to infertility. There have been many cases of women in their late 30s or 40s who are unable to bear children. Commercials show that it is no big deal to go ahead with egg freezing and fertility treatment, but the opposite is true.
Fertility treatments are crazy expensive, come with side effects and are ethically discouraged. Babies conceived through IVF are also at a huge risk of pre-term birth, birth defects and poor foetal development. Despite the side-effects, fertility treatments are being heavily marketed.

5. You Are More Efficient with Time and Money

As ironic as it sounds – having children early actually helps you to save money. For example, you will keep your expenses in check and work towards clearing your debts faster. You will stop spending on unnecessary holidays and frequent restaurant trips because you will realise the responsibilities of bringing up your child. Studies also show that parents earn much more than childless couples as they work more and chat less. Research also shows that motherhood and work equip a woman to deal with multitasking and expanding her mental capacities.
At the end of the day, it is a decision of a couple. You can work and earn money throughout your life, but if you do not have children at right age, conceiving may become a problem in older age.

What is the best age for having children? What are the benefits of having children before 30s? What are the disadvantages of planning babies after 30s? Discuss here.

It is better to have children before 30s as due to today's lifestyle, the fertility may start declining early.
