Snacks Loaded with Goodness of Cheese for Children



Cheese can not only provide innumerable health benefits to children but also can enhance the taste and flavour of the food that they eat. Have a quick look at the recipes of the snacks for children that are loaded with goodness of cheese.

Including cheese in the diet of children can provide innumerable health benefits to them. Cheese can provide essential nutrients to children that are required for their healthy growth and development. It is loaded with essential nutrients like calcium and protein. Therefore, it is not just worth skipping this wonderful food item from the diet of kids. It is not only rich in nutrients but also it can enhance the taste of the food. Let us now take a look at the recipes of some snacks for children that are loaded with the goodness of cheese.


Capsicum Cheese Sandwich

If all the ingredients are ready it will not take more than 10 minutes to make this sandwich.

Ingredients

  • Brown bread slices
  • Cheese slices
  • Butter
  • Chutney
  • Finely chopped capsicum
  • Finely chopped onion 

Procedure

Apply butter and chutney on bread slice and place a cheese slice on top of it. Now spread finely chopped capsicum and onion on top of it. Cover it with another bread slice with butter and chutney applied on it. You can grill or toast this sandwich as per your choice.


Cheese Bread Pakoda

This recipe can be served to kids occasionally as deep frying is required.

Ingredients

  • Chickpea flour
  • Red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Cumin seeds 
  • Brown bread slices
  • Cheese slices
  • Chutney
  • Oil for frying 

Procedure

Mix red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt as per taste to chickpea flour. Add cumin seeds and water to this mixture and make a fine paste. Take a bread slice, apply chutney and place a cheese slice on it and cover it with another bread slice with chutney applied to it and cut it into four triangles or squares. Press these triangles or squares properly so that they stick to each-other firmly. Heat oil in frying pan, dip the cut triangles or squares of bread in the chickpea flour and fry them. Place these pakodas on tissue paper so that the excess oil is soaked.


Whole Wheat Bun Cheese Burger

Whole wheat bun cheese burger is a yummy as well as stomach filling snack for children.

Ingredients 

  • Whole-wheat burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cheese slices
  • Vegetable patties 
  • Onion slices

Procedure

Apply mayonnaise to the buns. Take one of the buns and place lettuce leaf on it. Then place other ingredients one-by-one on it and cover with another bun. Serve with ketchup.


Cheese Dosa

It is very essay to prepare cheese dosa for your children. All you need to do is, just prepare dosa as usual. Once the dosa is ready, sprinkle grated cheese generously on it while it is still on the tava. Serve the dosa as cheese starts melting. You can serve it hot with chutney or ketchup.


Cheese Cutlets

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Garam masala
  • Cheese cubes
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Chilli powder
  • Salt

Procedure

Boil the vegetables of your choice and strain the excessive water. Mix and mash them with boiled potatoes, grated cheese cubes, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, chilli powder (as per the taste) and salt. Make small patties of this mixture and roll them in bread crumbs. Shallow fry them on pan by adding a little oil. Serve them hot with ketchup or chutney.
