KHAJUR IMLI (MEETHI) CHUTNEY Recipe | Pickles, Chutneys and Dips Recipe by reluctant_chef |
| INGREDIENTS | A must for any chaat!
Ingredients:
Khajur Imli Sugar Salt Red chilli powder (optional) | METHOD | Boil 5 cups khajur and 1 cup imli for 10 min. (Khajur provides the sweetness and imli provides the sourness). Then remove seeds from Khajur. Add 1/2 cup water and crush in a blender. Then add one cup water, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp salt and cook this mixture on medium flame for 10 minutes. (If all of you in the family like spicy chaat, then also add red chilli powder to taste).
Then strain this mixture though a thick sieve. Your khajur Imli chutney is ready!
No chaat is complete without this Khajur Imli (meethi) chutney.
(Tip: Good idea to have it frozen in the refrigerator for instant use in the future)
