VEGETABLE MOMOS - SURPRISINGLY DELICIOUS! Recipe | | Snacks Recipe by reluctant_chef |
| | INGREDIENTS | 2 cup Maida
1 tsp oil
2 tbsp salt
Water
1 grated carrot
1/4 cabbage
2 spring onions
1 onion
10 chopped garlic
2 green chillies
Garlic
Chillies
Black pepper
2 tsp soy sauce | | METHOD | For the dough: first mix 2 cup Maida, 1 tsp oil and 2 tbsp salt; then gradually add water to make dough that is not too soft; cover with cloth and rest for 15 min
For the stuffing: grate 1 carrot, 1/4 cabbage, 2 spring onions, 1 onion, 10 chopped garlic, 2 green chillies; lightly sautee on medium flame starting with garlic and chillies, then onions, and then add carrots and cabbage (don't overcook) and finally spring onions and turn off the flame. Let the stuffing cool, then add salt (not too much), black pepper and 2 tsp soy sauce.
Next prepare the steamer with water, roll dough into small thin puris and add the stuffing in the center. Lightly wet the edges, pick up one side and join the adjacent section with it, then the next, then the next, and when the entire edging is completely, finally seal the momo. Prepare a plateful of momos and cook them in a steamer for 10 minutes. Voila! Momos are ready
You can enjoy them with readymade salsa sauce or make your own special momo sauce (which I did!)
