ALOO POHA - HEALTHY BREAKFAST IN 20 MIN! Recipe | Snacks Recipe by reluctant_chef |
| INGREDIENTS | Jada poha (thick puffed rice)
2 boiled Potatoes
1 chopped onion
Corriander leaves
Rye and Kadipatta
Cooking oil | METHOD | Wash well and soak jada poha for about 8-10 minutes.
Heat oil in a cooking pan, sautee some rye and kadipatta, then add chopped onion slices, Cook for 3-4 min till brown, add potato pieces, salt and haldi. Mix well and let it cook for another few minutes.
Then add soaked poha and mix it well. Add more salt depending on the quantity. Some people also like to add sugar. Cover vessel and let it cook for another 3-4 min. Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with corriander leaves. Serve with chutney, toast and fruit. Enjoy!
(Note: If you don't have boiled potatoes ready, microwave 2 potatoes on high for 3 minutes, then turn them over and microwave for another minute. Poke with knife to check if they are cooked. If not, microwave for another 30 sec. Hold with paper napkin since they will be very hot, and peel)
