AAM PANNA (RAW MANGO SLUSH) Recipe | Drinks and Juices Recipe by reluctant_chef |
| INGREDIENTS | A delightful sweet n sour light mango drink. A treat to serve guests in the mango season.
INGREDIENTS:
Raw mangoes (kacche aam)
Jaggery (gur)
Salt
Rock salt
Jeera (optional) | METHOD | Wash and boil the raw mangoes in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
Once cooked, pour the water in the cooker in a pan (note that this water is also flavourful since some mango skins would have cracked). Remove the mango peels, which would have anyway loosened after boiling. Then squeeze out the mango pulp and discard the gutlis (mango core). Add back in flavourful water. Then add grated gur to the mango slush and use your hands to ensure gur is properly crushed and melted. Add a 1/2 glass of cold water and a pinch of salt and a pinch of rock salt. Check for taste.
Pour in a jug or in glasses. Add ice and garnish with mint leaves
